Anne Grootenboer came to me with her idea of creating a Troostvaasje (Console Vase). As part of a package to gift to people who are grieving. I really appreciate the concept as I feel there is a lack in rituals in the Dutch community surrounding grief. After receiving a vase, you are instructed to go out and collect something to put in it. Scientific study shows that, when you’re strolling around, your gaze wanders from left to right. In doing so your two brain halfs start communicating and thus you start to process whats on your mind.

Place the vase in a special place in your home, and in doing so honour you’re loved one.

Each vase is carefully hand made on the wheel, glazed with love. Each an individual as everyones grief is individual.
