UNPACKING HUMAN

 Hands are our instruments it what we use to shape our life with. It serves as eyes for the blind, the mute talk with, and it is an important element for our body language. But in our hyper fast paced online world, body languages is downgraded to emoticons. 

By hacking the ceramic mold, I was able to create these fragmented replica’s. The polished porcelain looks artificially perfect whereas the red glass is pouring out like blood. 

While working on these pieces I wondered: Does online digital technology better help understand and express ourselves? Or does it forget the essence of our own existence and that from life?
